Subject: Menacing letter
An Arab man in Morocco found a letter waiting for him at his door one day after a hard day of work. There was no return address or even his address on the envelope, just his name. He opened it to find a handwritten letter naming the recent activities he had been doing. These activities referred to his meeting with believers and his having a Bible. The writer let the recipient know that his life would be in danger if he continued to involve himself in these activities. He was puzzled at first. He then became frightened by what he read over and over to himself from the letter. He took a deep breath and opened his Bible. “For I have often told you, and now say again with tears, that many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction; their god is their stomach; their glory is in their shame. They are focused on earthly things, but our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Philippians 3:18-20, HCSB). Please pray for Moroccan Arab believers who face harassment from enemies of Christ. Lift up these brothers and sisters in Christ who face hardships that come from turning to and trusting Christ as Lord. Pray that believers will not live in fear, but will thrive in boldness for His glory. May their harassers come to know Christ’s love and turn from earthly things to gain citizenship in heaven. http://imb.org/main/pray/
